Merit Brass Announces New President, CFO

Merit Brass Co., a leading manufacturer of pipe nipples and master distributor of related pipe, valves and fittings, announced that Darren Hilliard has been promoted to the role of president and chief financial officer (CFO). Ownership of Merit remains within the Schlessinger and Lipp families.

Hilliard has been with Merit Brass for more than three years as CFO. He has more than 20 years of finance and leadership experience, concentrated in the plumbing industry. He also serves on the board of trustees for Youth Challenge, a non-profit organization based in Westlake, Ohio, which brings together young people with physical disabilities and teen volunteers via adapted sports and recreational activities.

Marc Schlessinger will retain the title of CEO; Alan Lipp will also assume the title of CEO.

Ashley Martin Named NIBCO Executive Vice President

NIBCO Inc. recently announced that its Board of Directors appointed Ashley Martin as executive vice president.

Reporting to Steve Malm, president and CEO, Martin continues in her role as corporate officer and Executive Leadership Team member; and serves as member of the Board of Directors, a position she has held since 2018. She is responsible for maximizing the company’s operating performance and achieving its financial goals.

Since joining NIBCO in 2012, Martin has held a variety of positions including senior vice president, sales; vice president of wholesale sales; general manager of PEX; and director of distribution and transportation.

Martin co-founded the American Supply Association Women in Industry group in 2013. She served a two-year term as chairperson, beginning in 2016.

Martin received her bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Notre Dame.

Sioux Chief Acquires Sun Drainage Products, Sigma Trench Drains

Sioux Chief recently announced the acquisition of Sun Drainage Products and Sigma Trench Drains.

Sun Drainage Products is a full line of commercial cast iron drains, cleanouts, floor sinks and fixture carriers. Sigma Trench Drains is predominately made up of the Hydrotec brand of polymer concrete commercial trench drains as well as stainless steel and galvanized steel channels. All Sun Drainage items will be rebranded Sioux Chief.

To help lead the sales effort, the company has promoted Michael Foster to vice president of commercial sales. He recently celebrated 32 years with Sioux Chief, most recently as director national sales. Also joining Sioux Chief will be Todd Amerson, former Sigma Trench Drain product manager, now director of trench drain sales. Amerson has extensive experience with trench drains especially with site/civil projects.

Liberty Pumps Announces New Products

Liberty Pumps recently introduced several new products.

The Model 406 Compact Drain Pump features a modern, contemporary appliance-style design and its small size allows it to fi t easily under cabinets. It also includes additional lower inlet connections for easier installation in a wide range of applications.

The 441-10A Battery Back-up Pump is a mid-range product, falling between the base level 441 system and the higher-end 442 systems. It combines many of the features of both with a professional level 10-amp charger at an attractive price point.

The EC-1210 series of sensor-activated glass and water bottle fillers reduces contact in high-touch areas and is available in heights ranging from 8” to 12” to accommodate application needs. Fillers can be equipped with water filtration kits to improve water quality and are ideal for any water-dispensing setting.

EC-1210 glass and water bottle fillers include an optional auto flush feature that flows water for 30 seconds after 12 hours of inactivity to prevent water stagnation.

Matco-Norca Padova Collection Enhanced

Matco-Norca recently announced product enhancements to its Padova tub and shower collection. The new design features a slimline 6” single function 1.8 GPM showerhead with metal ball joint, rubber nozzles for easy cleaning and a standard metal shower arm and flange. The company also enhanced the size and look of its metal slip on tub spout and escutcheon.

The redesigned Padova tub and shower and shower-only configurations are EPA WaterSense certified and California Energy Commission compliant. The offering comes in chrome and brushed nickel finishes and boasts a limited lifetime finish and function warranty regardless of the application.
