Coastal Elegance Meets Everyday Living:

Inside Nantucket Sinks USA

At its heart, Nantucket Sinks USA is about more than sinks. It’s about craftsmanship that transforms the everyday into something remarkable—pieces that bring coastal elegance, timeless design and enduring quality into the home.

For more than 20 years, Nantucket Sinks USA has been shaping kitchens and baths with products that blend timeless style and forward-looking innovation. Founded by Jake Khoury and a partner originally from Nantucket, the company carries a coastal spirit in its very name—a reflection of charm, craftsmanship and authenticity.

Today, the Rhode Island–based business operates with a lean team of around 15 employees, supported by warehouses in Reno, Nevada; Virginia; and Canada, ensuring nationwide and cross-border reach. Despite its growth, the company’s foundation remains the same: a commitment to personalized service, thoughtful design and practical solutions

SMALL TEAM, BIG ADVANTAGE

Operating with a small team means employees wear many hats. For Khoury, that’s a strength:

“It allows people to have a broader mix of duties. They get exposure to different aspects of the business—whether through cross-training or simply curiosity. And when customers call, they don’t get lost in a call center maze. They reach someone who can answer their question—or quickly grab a colleague who can.”

This nimbleness translates to customer care that goes beyond the norm. Plumbers, for instance, often FaceTime directly with the team to troubleshoot installations and get real-time answers.

DESIGN THAT LEADS AND SOLVES

Nantucket Sinks is known for introducing unique products and finishes ahead of the curve. As Khoury explained, “We pride ourselves on keeping products current while also introducing something new. Design drives our creativity, but we also focus on solving problems.”

The Brightwork Collection exemplifies this approach. When nickel-plated hammered sinks couldn’t withstand bleach-heavy cleaning products, Nantucket Sinks pivoted to stainless steel for greater durability while maintaining the same elegant look. Their fireclay sinks, offered long before the material became trendy, also highlight this pioneering spirit. Colored glazing— such as gray fireclay—further set their line apart.

COLLABORATION THAT INSPIRES: THE STEPPE SINK

One of Nantucket’s standout success stories is the Steppe Sink, developed in collaboration with designer Sarah Robertson, an NKBA-recognized kitchen design leader.

“She was sourcing a sink design from a shop that wasn’t really a sink specialist,” Khoury said. “She came to us, and together we developed the Steppe Sink with a bottom grid, rinse tray and other accessories. With her marketing power—70,000 Instagram followers—it quickly gained traction.”

The sink remains a bestseller today, available in variations like hammered copper and smooth copper. Its premium positioning reflects its uniqueness in the market.

A SINK FOR EVERY SPACE

With more than 500 SKUs, Nantucket Sinks offers a solution for nearly every application—bathrooms, mudrooms, economy kitchens and luxury homes alike. The company’s dedication to sinks as a specialty ensures depth of expertise and breadth of choice.

GROWTH AND CHALLENGES AHEAD

Looking to the future, Khoury sees opportunity in both expanding product lines and growing market share: “We want to continue our path of growth by introducing new products and making it easier for customers to see us as a one-stop sink supplier.”

But like many small businesses, Nantucket Sinks faces hurdles— from tariffs and government regulations to the challenge of ensuring customers fully explore the company’s wide product catalog.

PARTNERSHIP WITH LUXURY PRODUCTS GROUP

Membership in Luxury Products Group (LPG) is another growth driver. In their very first year, Nantucket Sinks was named Vendor of the Year.

“That recognition reflects our product offering, but also our commitment to customer service.” Khoury said. “We go out of our way to ensure our customers have what they need for a successful sale. LPG’s conference is a great platform for launching new products, and our introductions have been well received.”

“A friend and colleague for many years, it’s a true pleasure to now have Jake as a supplier to LPG,” said Peter Ollestad, director of business development, LPG. “Always sourcing high-quality, thoughtfully designed products for the group, Jake sets himself and Nantucket Sinks apart through the care and service he provides, whether supporting showrooms or end consumers.”

BALANCING PERSONAL AND DIGITAL TOUCHPOINTS

While digital marketing has become vital, Nantucket Sinks balances it with hands-on engagement. Their national sales manager and rep network regularly visit showrooms for product knowledge sessions. At the same time, digital assets and content are provided through partners like Unilog, ensuring dealers have what they need online.

“Some customers want everything digital. Others still want print,” Khoury said. “We aim to serve both—while always being just a phone call away.”

STAYING TRUE TO THEIR CORE

From its coastal-inspired beginnings to its position as an industry innovator, Nantucket Sinks USA has stayed true to its focus: specializing in sinks and doing it well. As Khoury summed up:

“We feel we have a sink for every application. That’s our niche, and we’re proud to run the gamut.”
