A.O. Smith Names Environmental, Social and Governance Director

Noelle Brigham

A. O. Smith Corporation recently announced the appointment of Noelle Brigham as the company’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) director. Brigham will lead and drive all aspects of the ESG initiatives while developing a long-term strategy for the company’s global commitments and strategy in this field.

Brigham is a licensed professional engineer and envision sustainability professional with more than 20 years of experience in sustainability and environmental engineering in the consumer products and consulting industries. In her sustainability role at S. C. Johnson & Son Inc., Brigham created global strategies and led international implementation plans for research, development and engineering for consumer product formulation and packaging. As an instructor, professor of practice in the Opus College of Engineering at Marquette University, she developed a new sustainability management executive education program.

George Warner Retires from Brasscraft

After 27 years of dedicated service with Brasscraft, George Werner, vice president of sales, has retired. The company congratulates him on his three decades of service and his contributions to the industry and wishes him well in retirement.

Mike Roberts will lead the unified global Sales, Marketing and Product Development organization as vice president, sales and marketing. A 12-year Masco veteran, he joined Brasscraft as the vice president of marketing and product development in 2018, previously having managed the fixtures business at Delta Faucet Co. for nine years. Roberts brings more than two decades of experience in the home improvement industry, both in the United States and Europe, to his new role.

A. O. Smith Introduces Industry’s Most Efficient Heat Pump Water Heater

A. O. Smith has introduced the Voltex® AL (anti-leak) hybrid electric heat pump water heater to its family of residential products. This unit brings to market a first-of-its-kind water heating solution with integrated leak detection, smart connectivity and updated water connections for professionals and homeowners seeking a highly efficient, intuitive and user-friendly product.

The Voltex AL model leads the water heating industry in efficiency, featuring the highest overall Uniform Energy Factor (UEF) of 4.02 with the 66-gallon unit and the highest 50-gallon UEF at 3.8. It is also available in an 80-gallon model. The unit can save homeowners up to $521 per year on utility bills when compared to a standard electric water heater. ENERGY STAR® certified, the product also allows homeowners to take advantage of rebates and tax credits for additional savings.

A.O. Smith recently held a celebration and ribbon cutting in Ashland City, Tennessee recognizing the completion of a 7,000-foot earthen berm, designed to protect its manufacturing plant, the city’s water treatment facility and the CEMC substation from future flooding disasters.

More than 100 people gathered to celebrate this milestone project, marking a 12-year collaboration among the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, the State of Tennessee, Tennessee Department of Transportation, Cheatham County, town of Ashland City and A. O. Smith.
